Lucius - (Set time: 9:00 PM)
“...Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig’s soaring vocals make a massive pop sound and hint at new possibilities for one of our favorite bands.” - NPR
"David Bowie turned stage wear into an art form as Ziggy Stardust... A similar sense of stylistic theatricality fuels Lucius..." - Pitchfork
“Especially gorgeous, moving…” - New York Times
“...dabling in pristine harmonies, the Berklee-trained sirens more often belt it out as a single unit with a force that decimates Phil Spector’s ‘Wall of Sound’ and has the potential to reach jupiter.” - Consequence of Sound
“This is music with an irrepressible edge.” - Relix
“...knocking the listeners sideways with some perfectly plush Fleetwood Mac - meets early Heart vibes.” - Noisey
Fronted by the sleek and compelling look-alike duo of Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig, and backed by their counterpart bandmates Dan Molad and Pete Lalish, Lucius have sold out shows across the world, big and small. Having headlined all over the US and Europe, they’ve also played slots at Bonnaroo, Newport Folk Festival, Lollapalooza, End of The Road, Austin City Limits, and shared the stage with a variety of renowned musicians including Roger Waters, Jack White, Mavis Staples, Jeff Tweedy, Sara Bareilles, Tegan and Sara and David Byrne.
The band’s uphill ascent began when Jess and Holly crossed paths while studying at Berklee College Of Music in Boston. Their strong bond lay the foundation of Lucius; they started playing music together over ten years ago and they haven’t stopped since. Along the way, they’ve become NPR darlings, and found themselves lauded by critics around the globe. Since the critically acclaimed release of their 2013 debut LP Wildewoman, they have built a stunningly loyal following, and share an intimate bond with their fans. Even today, it’s not uncommon to see Lucius doppelgängers in the crowd.
They released their second album, Good Grief, in 2016, and much like debut, it earned them high praise from influential critics such as Pitchfork, NPR, Rolling Stone and The Guardian. More recently, the single “Million Dollar Secret” was featured in the last season of hit HBO series Girls.
Aesthetically, the Lucius front women are visually arresting, with a fine-boned and delicate presence that conjure up images of Nordic princesses. While their resemblance onstage seems uncanny with matching outfits and hairstyles, offstage, they don't bear the same resemblance at all. In fact, they have notably different builds and complexions, which contributes to their allure.
When Lucius takes the stage, what you see and hear is two voices coalescing into one strong, agile sound. They sing in a strong unison, doubling their high, clear voices and creating a third sound that is as unnerving as it is lovely, like two mirrors, creating an infinite number of reflections that reveal as much as they obscure. The band’s distinctive play on duality showcases Jess and Holly’s powerful voices at the center, bolstered and surrounded by the mathematically precise drumming of Dan with the graceful, chiming of Pete’s guitar. Together the quintet create a sound the New Yorker calls “seemingly impossible with flawless grace that brings delicate beauty to even the most bombastic moments.”
After wrapping up back-up singer duties on the mammoth Roger Waters arena-conquering Us + Them tour, performing over 100 shows around the world, 2018 finds Lucius back together for an intimate acoustic tour and the release of an accompanying 10-track acoustic album, NUDES. A collection of songs chosen specifically to showcase their soulful, powerful voices and gorgeous harmonies, NUDES  includes three songs from the band’s back catalog, three brand new compositions and three cover versions. The album also features sit-ins from Pink Floyd legend Roger Waters (on “Goodnight Irene”) and Wilco’s Nels Cline (on “Million Dollar Secret”).

Pure Bathing Culture
The duo of Sarah Versprille and Daniel Hindman first met at college in New Jersey in the late '90s, ended up dating a decade later, and joined the indie folk band Vetiver. They formed their own band almost by accident while fooling around with loops, then got serious and moved to Portland, Oregon from Brooklyn.
